Thank you to our talented and dedicated volunteer board of directors. The individuals below are amazing professionals in their own right, and together they are the engine that administers and stewards Clerestory’s organizational well being. We are strong and empowered to sing the clear story of the music we explore in our concerts because of their tireless work.
Clerestory is looking for music lovers to add their skills to its talented and hard-working volunteer board of directors. A limited number of opportunities exist but we encourage your interest, particularly if you have expertise in technology, law, operations/logistics, and fundraising. To apply, please send a brief email of no more than 150 words to info@clerestory.org describing your interest and qualifications.
Daniel Harley, President, co-owns a French cafe bistro and creperie named Maison Bleue located in Downtown Berkeley. Daniel’s professional career began at the SF Mayor’s Office of Economic Development where he would liaise between the Mayor and local nonprofits commissioned to prepare small businesses for city issued Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funded loans. Accenture, a global consulting firm, comprised the majority of his professional career. As an SF based Business Consultant he would prepare the employees of such companies as PG&E, Chevron and Kaiser for the implementation of new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) technologies such as SAP, Oracle and MS Dynamics. Daniel’s love for music sprang from having been brought up in the gospel tradition. If fact, while attending UC Berkeley, he was a tenor in the university’s gospel choir.
Jesse Antin, Vice President, serves on the development, finance, and operations committees, and is a member of the ensemble. By day he is the Development Director of the Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley, which researches and publishes media on the emerging science of emotional well-being. Previously, Jesse was a fundraiser for the environmental law non-profit Earthjustice. Jesse’s interest in non-profit administration stems from his experience as a singer in Chanticleer, where he was drawn to engagement with the donors and volunteers who selflessly make organizations thrive, and bring good things to the world.

His choral works have been performed by Clerestory, the chorus of the Bohemian Club, the choirs of San Francisco State University and the University of Southern California, the Lesbian & Gay Chorus of Washington, D.C., the choir of Cathedral Church of the Advent, Birmingham, Alabama, and the UK’s Caritas Chamber Choir. He began studying piano at age five, shifting his focus to voice and composition at Yale University, from which he received a bachelor’s degree in music.
